Goodbye Winter

Welcome Spring! So, my vow to update the blog has gone about as well as my plans to diet this winter. Let's give it another try...
Winter was awesome! My family was busy skiing whenever possible and as usual I was busy shooting whenever possible. My clients have been great and business was at an all time high for the winter months.
The highlights were at Sugarloaf for the J2 Nationals where I was the official photographer and Sierra was a competitor! She finished in 7th place for the Slalom and the downhill!! What a great skier!! The week of Feb break we were at Saddleback for the High School Class B Championships. Jeremy-as Freshman came in 4th in the Slalom. He is awesome!! Neva, Jon and I did some skiing/shooting at Saddleback when it was covered in snow monsters. Beautiful!! I was also at the Freestyle Junior Olympics in Waterville Valley, NH for the 5 day event as the official photographer. All the kids are the greatest and bravest!! Everyone is so friendly and supportive! My new catch phrase was created by the announcer at the JO's " Leave it to Leavitt!" Catchy, huh!! Enjoy the images. Have a great day. Robin

SUMMER TO FALL

Hey all, I have just made a vow to update my blog and my facebook every week. Let's see how that goes!! I am anxious to show off and share the photos that I have been privileged to capture. We Leavitt's have been busy with school, sports and work- and always trying to fit in play!! Jon is busy on the barn-maybe we can pour the slab soon! The island is pretty much closed for the winter. We will be starting to spend more time in Rangeley!! Senior portraits are wrapping up and wedding albums are in full swing. Most of my time these days is spent shooting, editing and uploading soccers pics. I have gotten some great action shots this season. Hope you will all take a look if you get a minute. Hope everyone has a great weekend and enjoy the fall colors!! Thanks for looking,
Robin

MERRIAM FAMILY PORTRAIT

Last Sunday I met with a beautiful family to capture their family of 5 and because the weather was not cooperative for outside shooting we worked in their beautiful home with nice soft light and colors. I enjoyed the children who are were happy to be photographed and I think we got some great images for them. Here are a few of my favorites...

Amanda's Graduation

On June 7th I was privileged to photograph one of my special clients daughter's graduation day. We started by catching some family moments at the house as well as Amanda in her cap and gown. She looked beautiful on her special day. The Windham High School graduation ceremonies were at the Civic Center in Portland. There were some inspiring words and expressions from all! Here are a couple of my favorites from the day.

SPRING INTO ACTION

A visiting Baltimore Oriole at our feeder.

Brother and twin sisters posing for their baseball team photo.

Alison pitching it in during a game earlier this season at Lake Region.

Katie-aspiring model!

Spring always promises lots of action around my studio. With local baseball, softball and lacrosse leagues keeping me very busy. As we approach the end of the school year my family life is also full of activity. Sierra is heading to the State Track meet this weekend as Jeremy and I are headed to a Lacrosse tournament in South Portland. Neva and Jon are going up to Ellsworth to see the meet and do some hiking in Mount Desert Island. I am posting some of the recent images that I have been privileged to shoot. It's all fun and I am looking forward to the upcoming wedding and graduating senior photos(my favorite!)

TRIP TO SOUTHWEST HARBOR

We've had a fun week here at Harbor Ridge on Mount Desert Island. Polly arrived on Sunday and Neva and I on Monday. Andree and Carol joined us on Tues. and Jon and Jeremy on Tues night. We also had avisit from our old friend Murph who lives here on the island in Bass Harbor. We've hiked quite a few mountains and this morning we went up to see the sunrise on Cadillac Mt. It was a mere 15 degrees with a stiff north wind. BRRRRRRRhhhhhhh!!!!! Then we had breakfast it a really great spot in Bar Harbor. The chocolate shop was one of the highlights of the morning along with some Xmas shopping. Ending the adventure with a trip to Bass Harbor Light. We're heading out tomorrow-have to go back to work. I will put some photos up for all to see. Thanks for checking out my new blog.
